Expanded Partnership with Bob and Lynette Gay Will Accelerate the Rollout of IEL’s Flagship Products, Making Impact Investment More Robust, Consistent and Accountable While Driving Mainstream Investor Adoption.

New York, NY, September 17, 2026 – The Impact Evaluation Lab (IEL) - a leading financial services firm that provides data and analytics so allocators can invest in impact with greater confidence, today announced that leading philanthropists Bob and Lynette Gay have made a strategic investment in the company. This announcement builds on the company’s October 2025 announcement of a strategic investment from leading impact investor and philanthropist, Jim Sorenson.

“As globally recognized leaders in the fields of philanthropy, finance, and impact investing, Bob and Lynette understand firsthand the pivotal role private capital can and must play in resolving the greatest economic, social and environmental challenges of our time,” Terrence Keeley, IEL’s CEO announced. “Having spent their entire lives doing well and doing good at Bain Capital and on missions in Africa, they will now help IEL help millions more around the globe, deploying their capital more impactfully ”.

“After understanding how IEL is bringing greater analytic consistency and transparency to the entire impact investment ecosystem, we wanted to ensure its success,” said Bob Gay, the former Chairman of Bain Capital and current head of Kensington Capital. “Private capital can promote greater inclusivity and sustainability at scale, unlike public resources. IEL assures asset owners can find the best investment strategies to achieve their precise financial and non-financial goals.”

Jim Sorenson, head of the Sorenson Impact Foundation, adds “I have long admired the work that Bob achieved at Bain Capital and his extensive efforts in Africa with Lynette, combatting human trafficking, improving health care outcomes and creating rewarding jobs for thousands. We are lucky to have their expertise and support at IEL.”

IEL will use the investment to accelerate its growth plans, scaling the rollout of its two flagship products, the Impact Navigator and the Impact Authenticity Score
